Parent Testimonials
My son thoroughly enjoyed the technical aspects of the camp, as well as meeting players from all over the USA and even from other countries.
Future 500 provides the opportunity to players to demonstrate their abilities by playing a series of games with different coaches coaching them, which gives recruiting coaches a great view of the player ability of handle himself in the field under such circumstances.
An outstanding camp and a must for any player that is serious about soccer. Access and profiling in front of dozens of college coaches is motivating for players. My son came home focused, driven and informed. This camp provided him with the direction, motivation and tools he needed to plan out his next 3 years of high school & soccer. He also formed connections and networked with “like minded” highly skilled players that are of the same mindset as him in terms of soccer. The camp is extremely organized, location was A+ – just fantastic value.
I just wanted to take a moment to offer some feedback and gratitude for the program you all offer through the Future 500 Camp. I had been skeptical at first, to send my goalkeeper son from Florida to your camp, but it was a great experience for him!! Through your camp he was seen by schools we had not considered and some we hadn’t even heard of!! In the end one of the schools that directly came from your camp was a finalist for our decision! Although we ultimately did not choose to send him there, the school where he did sign also came to us as an indirect result of your camp – one school sees another school is interested in a player and they take a look as well… We spent time and money for our son to attend several camps and to meet coaches, be seen and see different types of schools and the money we spent on Future 500 was among the best funds we spent. And when people starting the recruiting process ask me which camps to attend, it is yours that I suggest first. Our son is so excited to be leaving for college in just 5 short weeks and the coaches (and even the Athletic Director) are so excited he is coming!! What a great way for him to start his college playing opportunity!! So, while we had no reason to attend your camp this year I am certain our younger son will be heading your way next summer and I will look forward to communicating with you more when that time comes.
Thank you for the information on the upcoming camp. My son attended last year and loved it. He will be a senior in the fall so he would like to attend this year too.
I just wanted to say to you, and your staff job well done! I was the parent who called about the allergies, and please tell Mike, from food services, he did great, and she had no problems at all! Megan got her a fridge, and it was like no worries, we are here to play soccer. So for that I thank you!!! and Eastern University. I also want to thank the staff, and I believe it was Mark, and forgive me I didn’t catch his name , he was the coordinator for the whole camp, and he was very helpful in answering a few questions I had today before the final meeting this morning at 11. I, as a parent, loved the coaching panel at orientation, as we had just taken a college seminar from Dave Simone, and as what I was trying to tell Mark, your camp was on point, candid and direct. It was great to hear the coaches be honest about how they like the whole process to work from the coaches side, which in turn helps your players. I can’t say enough how positive an experience it was for my daughter, and please feel free to share this, as it is the best camp we have ever been to. She truly enjoyed it, and got a lot out of it.
I have already recommended the camp to others. The players are good quality, the camp program is well thought out, coaching terrific and the University is beautiful. Next year, my wife and players mom wants to attend after we told her how much fun the camp and trip was.
Our rising sophomore son traveled from the Midwest to attend the Adidas 500, a 14 hour drive. The payoff came in the quality of coaching and peers, he encountered at this camp. Not only was he evaluated by several college coaches, he also had several one to one interactions with coaches about his skills and his college outlook. He will want to come back.
Thanks again for all the hard work you put into the future 500 camp!!!!!! My daughter, Destiny, has made a verbal commitment to Kutztown University after attending your camp!!! It was a wonderful experience and we are excited to see what the future holds!!!!!!
In retrospect, we should have signed our daughter up for one of these camps prior to her Sr. year. In fact, this may have been more beneficial for exposure, than more traditional/formal programs, i.e. ODP. You have a picture posted of our kid with this huge smile on her face – worth every penny!
Was more that I expected. The schedule was action-packed, allowing for days filled with soccer, seminars, good-quality games, and the opportunity to be seen by scouts. The food and refreshment were conveniently located, and a physio tent were available. The fields were close together, allowing for non-stop soccer – either playing or watching! The input the coaches provided to my son was helpful. The division by teams for the duration allowed bonding and friendships to develop, allowing the boys to better showcase their talents. I appreciated the “all-star” game component as it demonstrated what higher-level games at the next level would be like. The presence of scouts at these games also highlighted those players who were emotionally ready to play under stress or challenging circumstances, an important component of the game.
Thank you so much for emailing us about the camp. Our daughter enjoyed her time at camp last summer. She just verbally committed to play soccer with Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania in April.
As the parent of a goalkeeper from NC, I was extremely surprised and impressed with the small training sessions for the GKs. (I assumed with a large camp it would be a large group.) My daughter commented that she really enjoyed the sessions. My daughter also appreciated being placed on a team with a counselor — it made the camp less intimidating and more relaxing to be with the same group the entire time, and she felt like she played better in front of the coaches because of it. (I’m pretty sure she has many more Instagram friends after this weekend!) If my daughter has not committed by this time next year she is definitely interested in returning to this camp again.
Our oldest daughter, Hannah, attended Future 500.
The 500 camp really opened doors for Hannah that would otherwise not have been. Providing athletes with maximum exposure to college coaches in one environment in a short time is very efficient and very productive.
From her exposure, Hannah felt she was finally on a recruiting path and was being contacted by several college coaches.
Future 500 allowed exposure to several types of coaching styles for my son to experience. He enjoyed meeting players from around the world and establishing friendships that will last a lifetime.
The Future 500 Staff is friendly and accessible from registration throughout closing day. The environment is inviting for campers and parents. The agenda is well planned and easy to follow, making it very user-friendly from a parent’s perspective. The attendance by many DI/DII/DIII programs and rotation of coaches is exceptional, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase. The amount of “play” is challenging, but not exhaustive, and well complemented by seminars and needed downtime for recovery. Our son attended last year, will attend twice this year, and plans to attend next year. Many friends have been made along the way – a great overall experience! It’s nice to see people take pride in what it is they do – well done!
My observation, the Future 500 ID Camp was a cut above other camps. The overall quality of players was higher compared to other camps that have a wider range of player ability. The more consistent level of players coupled with top notch coaches resulted in good competition. My son was pleased with the quality of play in comparison to other camps.
Very well run camp for serious soccer players looking to extend their playing careers into college. And a great avenue to be seen by multiple level coaches! Job well done!
This was a great taste of high level soccer competition and college coaching styles. It also provided exposure to potential school and lots of practical information on the application and recruiting process. I was impressed that my daughter heard from college players and coaches at all levels. It really focused my daughter on what type of school program could be a good fit for her, which will really be helpful in the coming months and years. Also loved the info given on the kids emailing and following up with coaches. Very helpful! My daughter did it right away, and has already heard back personally from some coaches.
I highly recommend this camp to anyone considering playing soccer in college. This camp gives a true sense of what the college experience will be like. The exposure to colleges at D1, D2 and D3 is amazing.
My husband and I, as well as Nolan, thought very highly of the whole camp experience. Very organized from check in through check out. Nolan thought the training and games were very well executed. Good access and exposure to college coaches. Definitely a positive experience overall. Thanks.
Malcolm will be attending Providence College, Rohde (sic) Island (D1 Big East Conference). The Future 500 camp provided Malcolm with a great experience and opportunity to prepare for the recruiting process. I am also aware that another Sigma player who will be graduating in 2019 will be attending Future 500 again this summer.
My daughter attended the camp in July 2017 and she enjoyed it thoroughly. At last minute Linda arranged for her teammate to room with her, thank you so much. Melanie learned a lot and enjoyed all the playing and sportsmanship. She was selected to the all star teams and got a lot of exposure, from Franklin Marshall, Arcadia Penn State and Muhlenberg.
She has committed to Muhlenberg as a direct result of the assistant coach seeing her play at Future 500.
I recommend the camp highly. Thank you for a wonderful experience and happy holidays Mona.
As parents, we could not be more pleased with the results of F500. Our son came away raving about the experience and organization of the camp. He was really excited about the fact that he got to interact with so many coaches he was interest in. He has already started receiving emails from coaches that were at Future 500!
Devin had a fantastic time at camp. He enjoyed everything. He really liked being with the same team for the whole camp time. He liked meeting the other players and hanging out with them. The games were a lot of fun. Devin said that Marikate was a terrific counselor. The food was delicious.
Thank you for organizing a wonderful event and for including international students! If you ever need a testimonial from an international family please feel free to ask us!
It’s official, Lauren will be playing for Richmond :). Here is a link to UR’s announcement. All of Lauren’s target schools were on the East Coast and the Future 500 camp in Philadelphia was a great way for her, a player from Minnesota, to get exposure and work with a variety of coaches. She also really enjoyed meeting other players and coaches at the camp.
We just got in last night after visiting family. It was a great experience for Samantha. The goal keeper trainer from South Africa, and the speech from Jill Loyden were incredible highlights for her. Thank you for putting this great event together. Thank you again.
Great experience for son and parents. I would encourage parents to get there child start with this camp as a rising junior.
We are Philly U bound next year! The Future 500 camp was the most impressive camp that we have seen! I joked that everything was run “Type A.” Every component seemed to have been well thought-out in advance, and it gave us a good feeling that we chose a good camp as a result. In addition, my son was very pleased with the way things were run, and that people were so accessible. He would text home that he needed something and we would text back to him that he should find XYZ person and to inquire with them. In today’s world, when a lot of effort is spent on the “first impression”, and not necessarily the entire experience, the Future 500 camp was a welcome change. Just wanted to give you some feedback from the parents’ perspective. You can bet we will mention Future 500 to anyone with younger soccer players who are looking for an educational soccer experience. Thank you!
16 girls that never played together made a team and new friendships. Overall, this was a great experience for my daughter. It was a last minute, we signed up two days before it started but no regrets.
This was a great camp experience for my son. He loved the challenge of being a younger player at 14 years of age and playing against older boys who were 15-18 years old. He realized he could compete and play very well against older players. As a parent, I was able to see first hand many of the soccer matches and I was impressed by the constant observation and rotation of college coaches in and out of the soccer matches. There always appeared to be a new coach observing my son and his team each time I watched a match. I highly recommend this camp to anyone, especially if you desire to play soccer at the collegiate level. The college coaches were sincere, genuine, honest, and forthcoming about the realities and expectations of playing college soccer. As a parent and player, one can take away from the camp experience what exactly is needed to be successful both on and off the soccer field. Greater than soccer was the focus and attention on what it takes to be successful both inside and outside the college classroom. The reality is this, without success inside the classroom, there is no chance of success on the soccer field. No matter how great of a player you are, in college, academics must come first and soccer is a bonus!
She is a wonderful kid who's parents run a large soccer program with me in Haiti. We have two sites and nearly 6,000 kids. The Todd Family have been in Haiti doing this for about 3 years and Abbi hasn't had any real exposure to the levels that are existent in the states. You can imagine how daunting it can be to show up at a place like Future500 and see how talented, fit, skilled, tactical and networked into the community all these young woman are.
Abbi is all smiles and happy about what she learned at your camp and will be very committed to taking away these learnings and applying everything as she continues to develop. It's nice to know that within an organization like yours a person with Abbi's background can arrive at your camp and come away with such positives!!
My son Enrique from Honduras just finished the first id camp. Which was great. I wanted to congratulate Future 500. My son had a great time, learned a lot, shared and met so many kids and was exposed to so many colleges. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
Hi Linda, you and I have spoken several times over the past few months. Just wanted to let you know I think this camp is just fantastic. I have not fully spoken to Brendan but he has stated it’s the best Camp he has ever attended. He is a sophomore this year, so we fully plan to come back next year with a few more players (we referred Khaleel who attended week 1 boys, he loved it also). Organization of this camp is beyond belief and the information and access to coaches is just outstanding. Thank you so much, and I really, really enjoyed the parent session. I had to leave at break, but could have stayed much longer because it was very informative.
I’m a more knowledgeable parent to support my son’s soccer endeavors and I now comprehend the importance of finding the best fit for college for him. I am most grateful and thankful for choosing Adidas camp as my son is a rising senior. It is the best choice I could have made for him as a parent.
The college coaches who attend the camp are top notch. Speaking for my own child’s experience, she really enjoyed be [sic] coached by each and every coach assigned to her group. Great job! I highly recommend this camp to soccer players interested in playing at the collegiate level.
The Future 500 ID camp gave my child ample playing time and plenty of seminars to prepare for the next level of competition. I highly recommend putting your child into this program as soon as they are Freshman. The counselors were great. My daughter loved hers (Tejan) and I felt they were a great mediator between the camper and the college coach. I’m glad they were there to guide the girls to their next event or with whatever question they had.
Wonderful camp! My son had a great time meeting players from all over and the interaction he had with so many different coaches. He is already talking about attending next year!
The administrative staff is extremely well-organized and competent. Everything was seamless, so I had no concerns about my son traveling alone (flight) and getting a shuttle to/from the camp. My son liked having both college coaches and college players working with the players. It also was a great experience for him to meet other players from different parts of the country.
Overall a fantastic camp. My daughter could not stop talking about everything she did the entire eight hour trip home (except when she slept). She played in eight games, went to two practices and several classes with regards to nutrition, soccer, and general wellness. I will be the first to sign up next year!
The entire Future 500 staff were excellent. Very informative parent seminar that helped disporved [sic] some of the myths that are out there. I was most impressed with the campus and facilities, amazing. The best University ID Camp I have seen, all of the coaches that were in attendance were great, had open dialogue with the players and helped tremndously [sic]. If you are looking for and ID Camp for your son to attend, this is the one, bar none.
First thanks for all your work on making the girls camp a huge success (and for all your special advice and tips to me personally – the hotel was perfect). My daughter had a great time, learned a lot about the recruiting process, enjoyed playing soccer and made some great friends. She really enjoyed having the experience of a variety of college coaches.
This is Jason’s father, Brian. I hope you are doing well. I won’t ask if you are staying busy. As you may recognize, Jason was pleased with first session and has decided to participate in the second session. In fact, it was Tony Pacella from Sewanee, who I met here in Maryland, who recommended doing both sessions. In his opinion, it is the best camp for exposure to all levels of college coaches. Due to the limited number of spaces available, Also, I noticed you are using his picture in some of your advertisement on facebook. Which is not a problem. I always thought it was a great picture. Also thank you for organizing such a great camp. Absolutely wonderful.
